Bishop Fine Jewelers, independently-owned, is widely known for customer satisfaction.  Their personal touch is easily seen in their custom mountings, which are uniquely created to accentuate the brilliance, luster and beauty of your diamond, emerald, pearl, ruby and/or sapphire.  As a full service jewelry store, Roger and staff offer a personal touch and a warm atmosphere that makes for a memorable experience.

The Experience of Roger L. Bishop:

Roger began working as a jewelry repairman and a watchmaker at 16 for a small store in Bluefield, Va.  After getting married, Roger moved his family to Roanoke where he worked for a chain jewelry store for 26 years.  During this time, he became a registered jeweler and acquired many other industry certifications.

Roger opened his family-owned independent jewelry store in 1992.  He started out with 4 showcases of jewelry and focused, mainly, on repairs.  Nowadays, he has an extensive selection of jewelry and provides a vast array of services.  Roger’s wife, Hattie, has worked along his side since the store first opened.  In 1998, daughter Suzanne came aboard as Store Manager.  She performs administrative duties as well as sales and marketing.  Tammy, a family friend, began working with the company in 2003 and is now Assistant Manager.
